24k miles is a great find. Still depends on a few things. If it is a 5 speed turbo, it is worth a lot more than an auto non-turbo, for instance. And automatic non-turbo would probably get $6 tops even with those miles. A top-notch 5-speed turbo with 24k could fetch around $10k. If it were a Commemorative Edition convertible, it would be worth maybe $15-17k. But it all depends on what someone is willing to pay. It's a hard market to gauge sometimes, because even the rarest of the rare cars are only worth what the buyer will give up.
Not to mention, I have seen some very low mileage vehicles that were stored outside that were not worth any more than a 200k mile car. So condition obviously is still a factor.
So if you are the buyer, take his price and offer him what you think it is worth, and come to an agreement somewhere in between those two prices.
Good luck!
