1985 turbo died on highwy - lost pwr to fuel pump etc.

Hi, My trusty 16valve 1985 turbo has been trouble free for many years so it was very surprising that it stopped running and left me on the side of the highway during a road trip last weekend. Other than replace a window switch, I hadn't done any recent work.
On the highway it was running great, then suddenly began to run very rough and stalled out a minute after I pulled over to the shoulder. It wouldn't start again. Hall effect connections are intact and tight, and no turbo hoses are popped off.
I have to do some more systematic testing, but I determined that no power was going to the fuel pump and even with the pump hotwired, the engine still won't start. I'm getting spark. I need to run some tests at the system and fuel pump relays, and I guess the ECU is suspect too.
Are there any other LH Jetronic components that could shut down power to the fuel pump and/or injectors? I think the lack of power is my biggest clue. I know the overboost switch can stop power to the pump, but my switch has been disconnected for years.
Thanks for any feedback you can offer. I always expect that things can go wrong, but there was really no warning at all.
