So P-n-p inventory announced a 94 900 was placed in the yard early this week. They don't get down to model details. No way to know if it's a C900 or a ng900. I sprung for the trip (40 miles) on Thursday. I hit the yard and off in the distance I spot a C900 vert. Get closer and see three 20 somethings hovering over my prize. They have their wrenches out and are all over the turbo. So I find other things to do. After a while I hear them say the turbo/manifold bolts are to tight and they wander off to a Volvo turbo. As they leave I ask if they planning on a street racer. No, they just want to hop up a 14 horsepower engine! I finally get up close to survey the damage. The decent maroon hood is upside down in the gravel with boot footprints on it. The distributor is quite clean and sure looks like a recent replacement but the plug is pulled off and the 3 wires to Hall sensor are cut. The vacuum advance is removed. The heat shield under the distributor is bent 90 degrees while still attached to the stud. The exhaust downpipe is bent to the side while the trans bracket is attached to the trans. The bracket's all bent. The distributor, exhaust bracket and the heat shield were all on my grab-it list. All I ended up with was an overflow bottle without cracks.
