Startup high idle update Posted by Landjet [Email] (#16) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Landjet) on Mon, 16 Apr 2012 18:25:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I looked more closely at the AIC and it was dirty. I sprayed Rad Shaq electronic cleaner/lubricant into the inlet/outlet. Turned it over to let the funky solvent out, and something looked different.....the slide had retreated ( rotated ) back into the valve. I used a small screwdriver to poke around and found it was not spring loaded == this is LH2.2. I don't have a spare LH2.2 AIC, but the LH2.4 slider valve slides are "springy" so I would guess that the LH2.2 three pin should have some spring tension on the slide so it goes back to the stop?
It does idle better, but our weather turned Santa Barbaraesque after 100 tornadoes came for dinner a few nights ago. So, when the weather is nicer, the car does seem to run better, but I think the AIC isn't functioning properly if that slide is suppose to have spring resistance.
