a taper pin that goes through the linkage. Otherwise the repair may drag out over several days. You might find that a dealer has one in stock, but more often than not, they will have to order it from the warehouse, or you will have order one from eeuroparts or the saabsite.

I have never been able to remove this pin without totally destroying the old one; it is a major, major PITA to get these out.
With the car raised only about 18 inches, it is next to impossible to swing a hammer with enough force to drive the little bugger out. Saab ever makes a special tool for removing these (although I've never seen one!).
