Nice to know it's not actually chewed up. Rotating it so it doesn't bump into the coolant connections will probably help me. That picture I took was on the way home from buying new hose clamps so I put the new clamp on while I was on the side of the road and realllly clamped it down. I did some pretty hard pulls last night and so far so good... still hasn't gained my full trust though.
