Don't know if this is an issue, but vert inserts and coupe inserts are not swappable from car to car. The vert inserts are different to compensate for the leather padded armrests.

I'm pretty sure that the inserts can be swapped side to side by reversing the side that the fabric is on and swapping the clips.

I've made my own backing panels with 3/16" masonite I got at Home Depot. I just used my old ones as a template. and swapped all the hardware over. There is a metal piece on the top of the panel as well that needs to be put on. If you've got a band saw or a scroll saw, it's a piece of cake. If not, coming close with a circular saw and finishing up with a belt sander will work. You can cut the clip openings with a sharp 1" chisel.

Get some matching microsuede fabric from JoAnnes Fabrics. That seems to hold up the best. I've had it in a couple of my cars for nearly a decade and it hasn't faded.
