Just called for an update. Apparently it shifts smoothly into 3rd, but grinds the whole time in third. Not just during accelleration. They checked the tranny oil and it is at a good level. Did not check the engine mount yet. If it were synchros, I've heard it will not even get into gear. Can anyone confirm that? Maybe it's just a piece of something lodged in the gear?
Oh and home made cookies are confirmed to work best. ;)
