The rear curtain is the whole rear window and fabric as a unit. You can replace just that without replacing the whole top. The window is bonded to the fabric at the factory with some special technique. That's why it is difficult to repair it once it separates. I have had success gluing the fabric back on to the glass with the special glue used to secure the little buttons on the windshield that some rear-view mirrors mount to. Unfortunately, as I stated, that probably wont work now that the surfaces have silicone on them. The rear curtain can be purchased from any one of the online convertible top sellers. Just do a Google search on Saab convertible top, and then look for the rear curtain on the sites.
Instructions to do the job at the link below if you plan to DIY.
