The billet valve would only increase boost if it was more that the Bosch plastic valve would handle! I went with the Hyper Boost valves I like (when they were available) mostly because they last forever unlike the plastic ones. The psst sound is determined by the inlet air path than not the bypass valve. Our C900T's original air intake muffles the psst sound where the huge Air cleaner that's outside of the engine compartment in the fender well on my '88 9000 Talladega makes an extra very noticeable psst sound!
