Figure 34 shows adjustment for side-to-side clearance. The front lip of the sunroof is to the left of the photo.
My experience with leaking sunroofs has been this:
1. The back of the sunroof has sunken so that the gasket doesn't make good contact with the underside of the roof. I've fixed this by shimming the white plastic ramps (called guide shoe as shown on Fig 35 on p 830-14). It can't be shimmed too high because the sunroof panel will contact the roof.
2. If it's an electric sunroof, sometimes the cable that attaches to the rear guides at the back of the sunroof fatigues and breaks. TO fix that, you have to scavenge a drive cable from a parts car and swap it into your car. That procedure is a bit more involved. IF that's the case, post a response and we can talk you through it.
