thanks guys. i havent been on the board in a heck of a long time - my SPG has been running well since all the work i did on it say 3 years ago, and got into other things. Roger D has been helping me out in the meantime, i'm lucky to have that connection! it is great to see lots of the old names are still around, still got the passion!!!
The shop owner did explain later that they would have to adjust the camber back to 'factory', and it is an iterative process getting the shims correct not to mention the tough access to the DS shims, thus the increased cost. i pulled the car out of the shop, in order to let it 'settle' a bit longer as well as to work on the toe in myself in the meantime.
Without using a level its obvious there is some barely noticeable negative camber now (not that there's anything wrong with that!) but for the low amount of mileage i will be putting on the car, no worries. i'm running all season i5 inch 185 BFG's so its not anything that's gonna wear quickly on the corners. with snow just around the corner, why am i worrying about tire wear?????
the other aspect is whether i should lower the rear end. i guess the spring rate of these B&G's is almost double the stock rear's, so not a good match front to back, but since its almost Winter, no panic. i also dont want to deal with rear end rubbing just yet.
