Hmm. The shifter worked fine (other than being wobbly) before I messed with the rubber bushing so that does not seem to be the issue. Or would the new bushing (old one was mush) affect the height of the shift ring thus blocking the reverse lock lever from now sliding underneath it?
Could it be as you suggest that I need to do the shift rod adjustment by putting the screw driver in the hole and put the transmission in third deal?
