bought in 1988, rusted out 14 years later. head gasket went on a -25 day that i didnt warm the motor up before stomping on the gas pedal.

Check for availability of a replacement 8vt head - the turbo heads can crack, unlike the 16v heads. that could put a sudden stop to your enjoyment!

also as far as i know the warm-up regulators are hard to find. if you live in a cool climate area that will murder your starter and the motor with improper fuel mix on startup and during warm up.

i've got tons of 8v electronics, a machined block (painted red!) and lots of distributors. after mine went TU i never found another...
