I know I'll get whacked for this, but... Posted by SaabAficionado [Email] (#758) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SaabAficionado) on Mon, 17 Dec 2012 07:37:56 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I had what appeared to be multiple leaks coming from everywhere but the front seal behind the crank pulley, because I recently replaced it. So I did the unthinkable: I poured in a bottle of Blue Devil oil stop leak. I know this is a sin but I want to keep my baby running for another year or so before I pull the engine and go through everything. I researched all stop leak products and this stuff appears to be very well regarded. Bottom line: it worked beautifully. After an hour of running the car with the stuff in it, virtually all leaks stopped. I don't know if there will be any long term negative consequences but I am going to go through the whole thing soon one way or another and so far so good.
FWIW (for what it's worth)
