There should be a green and white wire that goes on the isolated spade terminal on the alternator (the D+ terminal). Sometimes these alternators have a spade terminal bolted to the case for grounding purposes, do not connect the green and white wire to such a terminal. The starter solenoid is energized via a yellow wire with a spade connector which is in the same bundle as the alternator green/white wire and the blue oil pressure sensor wire. If that yellow wire is disconnected the starter motor will not crank. Of course there is also the huge red wire from the battery to the starter with a pigtail to the alternator + bolt and the ground wire to the alternator case.
