Used to be that thesaabsite.com offered matching ignition lock cylinders, based on the car's VIN. I ordered one from them a few years ago, and it worked fine. Their site now says that those locks are "backordered". They (and others) sell new cylinders with keys.
It is conceivable that you could take the new cylinder and your old cylinder apart, and use the necessary parts from both to make a working cylinder keyed to your original key. I have done this with door cylinders with success, but have never tried to disassemble an ignition cylinder.
To remove the remainder of the broken cylinder you may still have to depress the pin. There's a plug in the side of the shifter housing (where they drilled the hole for the pin in the first place) that you can drill out, then you can push the pin in. Since the cylinder is already broken, you might be able to pick the parts out from the top. Remember that on a functional ignition cylinder you have to turn the cylinder (the inner part) a little bit before you can push the pin in. This may not apply to your broken cylinder. You're probably going to have to just fuss with it and see what happens.
