Fun With Passive Belts Posted by EverettDave [Email] (#1894) [Profile/Gallery] (more from EverettDave) on Fri, 8 Feb 2013 02:19:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Mine ('89 SPG) are still going well, but I had some concern this week.
For first time ever, driver's side began the back & forth waltz, so I began searching here for all the posts I'd read years ago when the passenger side acted up. Next, a flat battery, which I assumed was tied into the belt waltz. Sun's out today in Everett, so I charged the battery, pulled up the rear seat and diddled and wiggled the fuses and relay, made sure the belt was rolling in and out freely, and finally, went to work on the 3 or 4 gray connectors aft of the fuse and relay box under the hood. What made it simpler? I found my own post from 6 or 7
years ago recommending this procedure. Forgot that completely. What a test- trust your own post from before? Hey, it worked !
Who is still using and enjoying their passive belts? Dying to know.
Dave in Everett
