How did you bleed the clutch? The only way I have ever gotten a satisfactory bleed on a clutch was via a pressure bleed system. This applies air pressure over the fluid, using a second reservoir, to push new fluid through the system without using the clutch pedal. The one I have is called a "Gunson EZ Bleed" and was made in the UK. It has a cap that replaces the reservoir cap, this is connected via a hose to a bottle that gets filled with brake fluid. Another hose then connects to the tire valve. Hook it up, top up the fluid in both the reservoir and the bottle, and open the bleed valve. The air from the tire pushes on the top of the fluid in the bottle, forcing the fluid out via a tube that almost touches the bottom of the bottle. This fluid goes into the reservoir and pushes the fluid through the system. No air gets in the fluid, and little air from the tire is used. There are also systems that use a pump system to do the same thing.
The pedals do wear at the point where the master cylinder clevis pin goes through the pedal. Very often these holes are almost twice as long as they are supposed to be. A later pedal was supposed to fix this by reinforcing the hole, but I can't say I've ever owned a C900 long enough after replacing the pedal to tell.
