Hi Ziggles -- looking at the system, to me they are one in the same -- pressure transducer = overboost switch. I think you are correct that it is adjustable to a degree.
In ocn's year car, the overboost pressure transducer variable resistance switch ( hahahah ) is used, whereas in the later years LH2.4, the AMM carries a signal for air flow that shuts down the fuel if there is too much air passing through ( overboost ). In that case, a voltage clamp is the best solution to prevent the fuel pump from being shut off.
This is curious to me as I have a LH2.4 1989 -- I never saw an overboost switch under the dash -- this vehicle is just a hauler for us, so we don't care about trying to make more horsepower or boost control. Now, I have to go find out......
