From a practical standpoint, having 2 9000's means you can swap parts in a moment of urgency or to assist diagnosis. With older cars with possibly unreliable parts sourcing, that is very useful. That said, if you want both on the road (ie not a running one and a parts car), then you need to replace the parts that are swapped anyway, and that can mean more time, and possible issues if you break something... also, often certain high demand parts may wear at similar rates and be failing simultaneously on both cars so a swap is not wise anyway in those cases.
I say all this owning 2 c900's 1 for winter, 1 for summer... I do swap battery, wheels etc as need be, but most of the time they stay intact.
Otoh, depending on the condition of the c900, it is now a modern classic and is starting to appreciate in value. If you can hold onto it, you should, but 150 mile/day might not be the best use for it. I do love driving the c900's - we have a 9-5 also which we use as the highway hauler. The c900's are lots of fun around town, and I never have to worry about breakdowns that way, even major - can easily get a free tow to out house or our indy. Might be a problem on a road trip!
The c900 does share some parts with the 9000 for swapping, but not as many as a 97-98... Are both the 9000's hatches? Manuals? Interior colour the same? exterior colour the same (eg if someone hits your door?)? those are other factors to think about - how similar for swapping?
good luck!
