additional info: boost won't hold Posted by iveand [Email] (#3155) [Profile/Gallery] (more from iveand) on Wed, 1 May 2013 19:32:20 In Reply to: Boost giving occasional "mule kick", iveand [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 1 May 2013 19:06:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Doing a bit more reading here to try and learn, I wanted to make the comment that the pressure doesn't "hold" on acceleration: rather, the turbo gauge will go up to maybe 2/3 yellow, then relatively quickly fall off as rpm increases.
Been reading on wastegate, actuator, etc. I guess best is for me to sit with the Bentley and get a better understanding how this system works, but any initial advice much welcomed.
Also, what is recommended gauge to use for measuring pressure? This may be a first step so I can actually more accurately assess.
Thanks again,
iveand
