Major hesitation on full throttle exceleration?

My 88T does a pretty wicked bucking/hesitation when I really step on the gas. Over the years there has been a couple of suggestions. (Fuel pump, fuel pressure valve, etc.) The most recent idea was a change in timing caused by a loose part on the distributor or a vacuum leak on the advance. I checked and nothing is loose and I did a vacuum check on the advance and it is holding. (used a hand held vacuum tool and it held pressure for a few minutes before I released it)

The hesitation is almost immediate when I bottom out the peddle. I find it hard to believe that the fuel pump can't keep up that quickly. I find it more plausible that the timing is changing, but am at a loss to understand how to troubleshoot that any further.

There was some thought about an over boost cut off. Not sure if that's the correct term. I can tell you that the needle on the turbo gauge rarely makes it into the red, so I'm not sure if that could be it. Is there a way to bypass this... if only just to test. Or am I better to just get a used one from the shop and swap it out.

Does anyone have any other ideas that I could try this weekend while I have some time to fool around with the car?
