Fuel system drain help needed, how to jump the pump? Posted by Ilovemountains [Email] (#1318) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ilovemountains) on Tue, 28 May 2013 12:39:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The 86 900s notch that I just bought has been sitting for a little over 2 years. I need to know how to drain the fuel. My thoughts are to unhook the fuel line from the engine, jump the pump and let it run till the tank is empty. Replace the fuel filter, fill it with fresh fuel and see what happens. Does anyone know how to jump the relay to get it to stay on and what is the best way to disconnect the fuel line from the engine to make this happen? I don’t have the car yet, its being transported from Nebraska to WV so its going to be a few more days or I would probably be able to find the fuel input part of this one, just no clue on jumping the fuel pump. Thanks! Matt
