You should check your fuel pressure -- I believe it is monitored at the return line on the CIS. I checked it on a 1981 in front of the fuel filter to see what the pump pressure was, but then we scuttled the job and didn't check it after the fuel distributor. Had we been able to check it, we would have been able to see the pressure loss to the filter, and fuel distributor.
However, since you mentioned that the cap and wires had been worked on, I would check and recheck the plug wires, and the cap connection/orientation to see if the firing order isn't right on the money.
And, poke around for a vacuum line being off. You can plug up the ones that go into the cabin to isolate them, and then restore each line individually to try to find the one that causes the issue......as always with these cars, it is three things that make them run poorly. Or it could be four, or two, but rarely do I find that only one thing is wrong.....
