ON the Vert this comes out of the loom for the tail light. At some point rather than hooking this to the lid switch.. it was connected to the ground directly (there to a random ground point in the trunk.. black wire makes sendse.

I just unplugged it. and BAM.. ALL WORKING PERFECT WITH THE ALARM!

Now the switch seems to be bad because if I then plug it into the alarm trunk switch open or closed the system trips at 10 secs.

I think I will just leave that wire unplugged.. that was certainly frustrating!!

This car was a great buy.. but man chasing these electrical gremlins.. (grounding brake lights / clock spring / finding broken wire in revers light in the trunk

so far 3 of 4 issues have been fixed by fiddling with tail light assemblies in the trunk and related harness.. .. I know that trunk like my hand now..

Now for fun driving .. enough w/ this fiddling with wires!!
