Hey VeeVacker --- the boney stock car was a rescue mission. A lawyer owned it since it was new, and drove it to work about 5 miles a day where 2 miles was freeway at speed. He passed away, and the car sat for almost two years. The widow was having a tough time -- some of her friends stepped in and moved the process along, and I made a cash donation to a worthy cause.
With a fresh battery, it started right up. Since I got it in April, I've sorted out the suspension, brakes, and bushings, vacuumomatic lines, new ignition, and a few cooling hoses.
I have 11 C900s because people end up giving their cars to me after they can't seem to keep them going.....come and get an SPG if you want one.....the chassis has terminal rust, but still lots of parts to gather from it.
And no, I can't drive them all because there are too many in simultaneous restoration, so I only get to use three of them on a regular basis. The race car takes up a ton of time, and I would only get to drive that a couple times a year. This thing called work gets in the way......
No grandkids yet, and neither daughter is married. As as far as music is concerned, I've been to over 30 Stones shows, and more Dead shows than your age. My neighbor was the violinist from the band Kansas "Dust in the Wind"...just like the state of Kansas.....other friends played in Peter Frampton, and Gary Wright, yeah, the Dream Weaver guy.....but, I don't own any of their music. So, yeah, I am an old guy that can admit it, but nobody has ever has as much fun and been able to live through to tell the story......Hunter Thompson saved my life and pestered me with the same message that he would call Johnny Depp in the middle of the night with.....warning him about Black Hairy Tongue Disease at 3am and hang up the phone. OK, your turn to fess up vVackomagician -- tell us more about your beats and beaters :-) OH crap, I just invented a new cruise night mantra......COME ON OUT for a "Beats and Beaters" night!! Bring your muzzack, and ratrod........good god, in Arkansas you might get a bunch of guys in tank tops with blood on their hands......time for more coffee. Thanks Vvack, you cured me. Off to put on SPG panels on Boney. Scuttle the SPG, and have the original Landjet hauled off...two down.....two to go. Then I'll be down to the Magnificient 7.
