Thanks for the details. Reading these diagrams can be a bit confusing. I just realized that the +15 and +54 points shown on the LH ECU diagram are the ones on the ignition switch terminals.
It was indeed the LH ECU I meant, and in particular how it communicates with the EZK ignition control unit. My ECU shut down the fuel pump while I was driving on the parkway. I had a spare in the trunk, but it shows the same symptoms. Even if I jumper the fuel pump on, neither of these ECUs will enable the injectors.
Here's one extra symptom which might mean something, but I'm not sure what. I have a known-bad ECU that won't run the car normally. However, when I plug it in AND jumper the fuel pump, the car runs. I assume the bad unit is ignoring something that the good units won't.
I have another EZK unit coming, as well as a -580 ECU to try in place of the -564 standard one for the year. I wish I could be a little more confident one of those will fix this.
So far, I've eliminated any problems with fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, hall effect sensor, main LH and fuel pump relays, and some portion of the wiring. Still working on checking continuity while waiting for new parts. Was hoping there was some way to simulate enough of a signal to the LH unit to see if it would engage the fuel pump relay, at least for a few seconds. That would at least tell me if it was a fault in the EZK unit.
