Just FYI, we might be able to Cuban convert the inexpensive fuel pump assemblies that eeuro sells -- they have a tank sender integrated, probably for a 9000. It might be worth a shot to find a way to make that work. It's a dangling arm pivot thing.
I have a tank out of a car and a new pump in the box if you want to give it a whirl when you come through. Might want to get a couple gallon fuel container for the trek if your sender isn't reporting in :-)
