During my rustoration, I did use POR15 on the battery tray and a few other places. For areas which I could not get a brush into, I used Flood's Penetrol. For seam lines, just use a squeeze bottle with a tube on the end. Let the watery liquid wick into the all the places where water will get into and wipe away any excess, if it gets onto a place you do not want it. Flood's Penetrol also works nice to bring back the black from plastic that is chalky looking. I have read about wax and kerosene mixtures to rustproof too. What have you used with good results?
