Unusual Oil Leak Driving Me Nuts Posted by SaabAficionado [Email] (#758) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SaabAficionado) on Wed, 20 Nov 2013 11:48:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've cleaned and traced and gotten puddles of oil in my face and still cannot figure it. The leak seems to be coming from a big horizontal bolt in the side of the tranny that is about an inch from the drivers side motor mount (probably just the last point of departure). I have replaced the oil filter with a brand known to seal properly and also the oil sender and pulled the oil filter/cooling lines housing to check the gasket/seal, which I replaced a year ago when I did some other engine work. Everything seems fine. Cracked housing? What else is there. The leak ends up just behind the inner driver. Can't see the exact path cause alternator is in the way.
