Some interesting stuff there.
We know you're getting fuel, and we know the fuel looks good. Adding that resistor would have resulted in more fuel, and the engine ran slightly longer. We know the AIC is behaving itself. The AMM is still suspect.
What are the chances you have a major vacuum leak somewhere? Perhaps a rubber grommet in bad shape, one of the nipples under the throttlebody open, or something like that? Maybe a warped head resulting in a bad manifold or combustion chamber seal?
The lean mixture code, spontaneous dying, resistor data, and the fact all the other systems - fuel and spark - are behaving themselves *really* point to an air problem - and it *seems* like actually too much, but could also be measured too little.
