I've seen this happen as a result of a massive vacuum leak that was caused when one of the grommets that retains a multi-port nipple in the intake manifold rotted out and the plastic nipple blew out while under boost. Of course you'd have noticed if there was a big open hole in your manifold but the point is you may have a big vacuum leak somewhere. Other possibilities include; ignition timing is way off, spark plug leads on wrong cap towers, Hall effect connector is loose, or obstructed exhaust system. Check the plug lead order and remember that the distributor rotor rotates anti-clockwise (when viewed from in front of the car) and cylinder #1 is nearest the firewall. The firing oder is 1-3-4-2 and cap tower #1 is at about 10 o'clock (viewed from in front). Timing is 16°BTDC and use only genuine Bosch cap and rotor, Bougicord wires and NGK plugs.
