'93 900S, 167,000 miles. Around 12,000 miles ago new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder installed. No issues until this morning when, on the way to work, I stopped behind a school bus. Put the car in 1st, with the clutch held in. Lights went out on the bus, pulled out to go around. Accelerated in 1st, pressed clutch pedal in (pedal felt "light"), car didn't want to come out of gear. Let clutch pedal back out, pressed again, got car out of first, and up through the gears. Clutch pedal felt funny, but worked. Fast forward an hour and 50 miles. On the highway, and hit the normal slowdown approaching the city. Had to stop for merging traffic. Holding the clutch in, car in 1st gear, car starts inching forward. I was able to move to the shoulder, let the clutch out, press it bac in, and get it out of gear. Drove the rest of the way to work using the old tricks - using clutch as sparingly as possible, allowing "recovery" time between using clutch. No tools here, and limited options for checking it out, and have to drive it home. So, what are the possibilities? I'll check the brake fluid when I get a break, but what am I looking at? Failing master? Failing slave? What should I look for / at?
