Have a helper push the clutch pedal & place a paper towel or rag below it to watch for fluid. It can start as a pinhole leak, which will not flow a lot of fluid. All it has to do is be large enough so that you can't maintain pressure with the line.
That said, there is a pretty good chance that you'll end up replacing both the master and line in the next six months, no matter which is the bad one right now. Might be worth considering to bite the bullet now and replace both, and not need to worry about any of the bits for 10 years or 200k...
