You're definitely correct - that "upper left" position is where #1 should always be. But like Simon I have positively seen cars where #1 *isn't* there, and I want to say it ends up in in the lower left position instead. It could very well be as simple as a funny rotor explanation - but maybe also some other screwy part swap like a cam, cap, or ? No idea! It's been years since I've dealt with someone else's funky Saab... in the last decade or so, I tend to just dismantle and put back together, rather than figure out and fix problems. ;) Really, I have no idea, but I do have very distinct recollections of futzing with more than one c900 trying to figure out why #1 isn't where it's supposed to be. :shrug:
