I don't recall those bottom bolts being EASILY accessed on that alt. cast bracket. Does your method included accessing the bottom side from under the car (i.e. on a lift)? I know I've considered that method, but discarded as too difficult.

Next time I have to extract the ALT, I will give your method a try. But I've still got my oil filter housing gaskets ready just in case.... :-)
