Thanks Glen. I will check it out. FWIW, all my prior c900's have had cracks, some worse than others, so I simply covered them with various dashmats and forgot about them. I also got used to the visuals of a mat. That said, I never noticed them getting any worse with a mat but of course they were already cracked anyway. I'm gonna do a test and pull one off after sitting in the sun and check the temp. I might also try adding a reflective layer to the backside of one and check the temp. This isn't a very important topic relative to the usual mechanical and maintenance subjects but now that I have a perfect dash, I'd like to protect and preserve it. Covering it up seems like a shame but if not covering it ruins it, I'm back to a dashmat anyway. Darned weird cars are a constant dilemma aren't they?
