If your brake master cylinder rear seal is leaking brake fluid is probably being sucked into the brake booster can. Carefully pull out the vac.hose from the front of the can and stick a "dip stick" wire into the hole. The wire should be dry. If the can is full you will have a hard brake pedal and burned brake fluid exiting the exhaust pipe as a sweet smelling white steam.
