OK, well the ambient temps there wouldn't be hot enough to trigger a fuel boil unless the fans weren't working and you were idling.....I would look closely at the AIC connector just under the boot and make sure the wires aren't frayed or just ready to break.
The fact it sits at 850rpm is a good sign. Check the contacts in the TPS to make sure they are clean or just go through and clean all the connections/contacts in the engine bay.
Then, disconnect the battery for ten seconds and reconnect to reset the ECU and drive it around for 30 minutes. Once everything is in harmony, then the ECU reset helps it start from scratch and begin the learn sequence to store the info it uses for the fuel injection.
