There's a plastic gear mounted in the area of the driver side inner driver (U.S.car). Getting under the car you'll see a cable running to a plastic gizmo that has a fancy looking clip with a single screw that tightens the clip to the gear box housing. By unscrewing this bolt from the clip one can remove the clip which leaves the speed sensor loose (the plastic gizmo). Check to see if your clip is still hooked up. If the bolt became loose and fell off along with the clip the speed sensor would pop up leaving your tac dead.
