steering members out, so what else? Posted by iveand [Email] (#3155) [Profile/Gallery] (more from iveand) on Sat, 12 Apr 2014 12:52:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Took out the steering memebers so a local indie could press in new bearings for me.
Am replacing a bad cv boot (that is what started this whole thing). But now I am looking at the shocks (cracking around those bushings, they are probably pretty old but I didn't specifically notice they were giving any issues). Sway bar bushings, control arm bushings: do I really go after these? It is a bit dirty around the control arm mounts, so do I clean it up a bit and see if I see any visible cracking? Regarding swaybar bushings, 1 outer one has a bit of cracking around the outside, but inside seems OK. Other looks very good. I see the poly pink ones on eeuro: I assume my indie with a press would need to press those in too?
Or do I just put it back together? Maybe shocks I can just do later, they shouldn't be that big of a deal, right?
