The Bentley manual says to check the ICM switching function, disconnect hall sender, connect voltmeter between terminals 15 and 1 on the coil, then turn ignition on and "the voltage should rise to about 5 volts (DC) and then drop to 0 volts within 1 to 2 seconds.
