Yes, it was me that changed the wheel bearings on this one:-) I did both sides, changed out the axles, along with new companion flange bearings/seals.
Having said all that, we changed the rack as the pinion shaft was exhibiting radial motion, and therefore leaking. Swapping in the rack solved that but left me with this odd knocking sound after warmup. Rack was used and had about 5K on it.
An additional note is the steering feels a bit on the heavy side, and it just has 195 tires with stock alloys. So, something is haywire, and it makes me think the power steering pump is wacky.......not vvacky. And thanks Vvack for the positive note on the lower control arm bushings. HOWEVER, yes, I have backed out of my driveway in the same year vert, and BANG the left lower control arm let go. I was on the way to get ice cream, so that melting tragedy was avoided........
