Got the engine/trans separated. There is blue silicone on the pan gasket. They must have been separated in the past. Surprising because I thought I had very complete service records. The PO didn't remember anything major being done. When I looked at the chain and guides I was surprised to see the tension side guide is nylon. I thought that was a recent upgrade that happened since the C900 stopped production. The fixed guide shows no wear on the fiber surface. I've never seen that guide with no chain marks on it. I'm proceeding without doing chain service. Thanks
