Moving 92na engines around. Very cute 92 red hatch with 280K is getting my 105K engine/trans powertrain. The 280K engine is sitting here and I have a very solid but not so cute 92na 4 door body with an empty engine compartmwent. You know it. The beater type. I'd like to put the 280K engine in the 4 door body but here's the dilemma. It has a new HG, seals gaskets etc.. Ran fine. No issues. Compression was 180+. But, the timing chain stretch is 11.5mm. Is it worth replacing the chain? Engine is from a one family owner. Good service records. A lot of oil changes in it's past. Car's future isn't projected for high use. I plan to drive it to Maine and leave for a winter car. It might even drive by Vern's place now and then.
