To adjust the new style switches Posted by RS [Email] (#15) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RS) on Wed, 22 Oct 2014 13:45:30 In Reply to: Resolution..., CBS [Profile/Gallery] , Wed, 22 Oct 2014 11:40:37 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
you have pull the plunger out a few mm. The first time you step on the brake pedal, it'll self-adjust.
You'll want to buy a spare to keep in the glove box. I had one that of the new-style aftermarket switches fail closed - brake lights were on constantly on a 2k mile trip. I ended up pulling the brake light fuse and hoping nobody would rear-end me on an interstate exit. Replaced it with a genuine SAAB switch from a dealer the next day. (This was about 13 years ago.) That switch is still good.
