Power Steering Pulley removal, really?

1988 SPG. Power Steering pump leaks bad. I bought a new one, but of course need to swap the pulley from the old one. Looks pretty straight forward, get a three hook puller and life *should* get great.
I tried using a small puller, that just striped the (fine) threads on the bolt. So I went with a 5 ton puller, grabbing onto the three holes in the pulley. No motion. Since the old pump is toast anyway, I applied my torch to the pulley & shaft, then tried hard with the puller. No motion.
I've subjected the gismo to PB plaster, and will try again. There is no bolt in the shaft (not that dumb, I checked!).
I guess that man in Sweden put that pulley one pretty tight 27 years ago.
Should I just keep huffing and puffying??
