Not glue, 3M trim attaching tape...

Sri, the various trim attaching glues make an awful mess and are almost impossible to remove if they ever need to be.
The original fastener was a kind of foam tape. 3M makes the best stuff to replace with, available in lots of widths at auto parts stores.
To re-apply them, you need to clean all traces of the old fastener off the back of the trim strips and off the paint of the car. Make sure there's no wax where it's going. Mark position for the trim with pieces of masking tape.
Apply one side of the tape to the trim, then pull the red plastic off the other as you work down the car attaching the trim. Press it firmly into place.
Warmer weather, if it ever comes, is a good time to get the strips flattened out. Place them in the sun on something that gets hot, like the hood of a car. Also have it be warm while attaching.
I have successfully applied short pieces of this tape under the sagging lifting ends of some of these strips, before they got so bad the whole thing came off. You have to be careful not to lift the loose end so high it peels off farther up, but need to lift it a bit to get old tape off.
