I clean my AIC valve with carb cleaner and then rinse with WD-40. Definitely let it drip dry before re- installing. Careful not to get anything into the electrical part. Also check for vacuum hose leaks. If cleaning the AIC still gives your high idle rpm, then you need to find a replacement. Sometime they still work , but are worn and no longer respond to correct Idle.
